Are you moisturizing your skin correctly?

Moisturizer seems simple enough. But if you think you’re doing everything right, you might be surprised to learn that you could be moisturizing better.

We’d love to walk you through some pro tips to boost your skin’s hydration to prevent flaking and dullness.

#1: Wash your face first

It is recommended that you wash your face no matter what time of the day you apply the face cream. After all, you don’t want to mix your face cream with any sweat, grime, make up, etc. :-) It will also allow the cream to penetrate into your pores and work its magic.

#2: Damp skin is key

The key to applying your cream is sealing in actual H20 when the skin is freshly moist. Thus, after showering or washing your face, lock that moisture into your skin by applying your face cream to your damp face. If you wait for your face to be completely dry, it won’t work as well!

#3: Optimal amounts are determined individually

Each person needs different amounts of products for their skin - there’s no one-size-fits-all measurement guideline. You should determine the optimal amount of product by yourself. For example, if you’re unable to rub in all of the moisturizers, then you’ve probably used too much. Your face should be able to absorb the cream, rather than feel sticky. On the other hand, if you’re not able to easily spread the cream everywhere you need it, you need to use it more.

#4: Dab it smooth

Instead of taking a finger full of product, apply small spots all over your face and then smooth it out. This way you will be able to apply the cream to every bit of your face
